The 2011 Indianapolis High Intensity Training seminar has just been announced! This year’s speakers and topics include:
Doug McGuff, MD: Striving for Perfect Form Without Driving Off Clients
Ryan Hall: Blinded by Science: Macronutrients, Exercise and Body Composition
Mark Sisson: Ideal Eating Strategies
Bill DeSimone: Congruent Exercise: Biomechanics for Better Workouts
Tony Scelzo: The Evolution of an Entrepreneur: Building a Personal Training Business
Danny O’Malia: Building a Customer Service Culture
Whether you’re a personal trainer, training studio or gym owner, or just a high intensity training enthusiast I highly recommend attending. In addition to excellent presentations it’s a great opportunity to meet, “talk shop” and network with some of the best minds in the industry. I’ve been to the last two and each one was a great experience.
I’ve seen Doug, Ryan and Bill speak before and a presentation by any one of them is worth far more than the cost of registration. I missed seeing Mark Sisson’s presentation at a convention we both spoke at last summer but heard it was great, and am looking forward to seeing him speak as well.
I’m not familiar with the other speakers, but the presentations are something every trainer and business owner should get something useful out of. I know many of us are trainers first and business people second, but if you want to make a living doing this stuff you’ve got to know both.
The seminar will be held on June 4, at The Colombia Club in Indianapolis, IN. To register or for more information visit http://indyhitseminar.com/
UPDATE:
Since Ryan Hall appears to be blocking Skyler Tanner in the photo above (see Skyler’s comment below) I am posting a photo of Skyler letting everybody know what he thinks of the HIT seminar:

I think Ryan’s large head is blocking me in that photo. That was a great time!
Skyler,
Agreed! I can’t wait for the next one. I’ll try to find an unobstructed photo of you at the seminar. I’m pretty sure I have one or two.
Drew,
I am looking into attending this seminar. I am going to The Minnesota HIT Resurgence seminar in March before I go to IHRA. Will you be attending either of these?
Dwayne Wimmer
Dwayne,
I wish I could make both but I’ll only be attending the Indy HIT seminar this year.
thanks for bringing this to my attention, looks as tho’ I was the 4th one to register. I attended earlier HIT seminars, just an Hi-Intensity enthusiast but thought they were well worth every penny expended. Meeting Dr. Doug’ was a real treat. Smart, rational, scientifically oriented fitness enthusiast. He’s worth attending all by himself.
This will be my first Indy HIT Seminar. I can tell you that it will be exciting and well worth attending. Our speakers are phenomenal and we are excited about the response we are already receiving.
The location for the seminar is in the heart of downtown Indy. I think everyone will enjoy the experience Indy has to offer.
Drew, can’t wait to meet you and thank you so much for this post!
Great News, Drew. Will a Webcast or DVD be put up. It would be a great way for HIT followers living in far off in places like India to gain insight into such events.
Karthik,
There has been no mention of either a webcast or DVD, but I will suggest it.
Hi Drew, Karthik,
I contacted Bo Raily to ask wether there will be a dvd production (because for me it would be to expensive to fly in from the netherlands)and he said that there will be indeed a dvd production of the seminar. That will be the next best thing to being actual there.Although being there would be great , not only to listen to the great line of speakers but also meeting a lot of like mimds in the excercise field . For me it would be of great value to speak to them about how to operate a h.i.t one to one facility , because here in the netherlands there are none as far as I know . I worked for kieser in germany but these are not on a one to one base. Since there are also speakers who will talk about operating such a facility, the dvd will give me also some ideas.
B.t.w drew , do you have knowledge about nautilus 2st equipment?

We are working on a DVD for purchase after the seminar, provided our event is a hit and there is enough interest in a DVD. Please contact us at http://www.indyhitseminar.com so we can be sure to add you to our contact list.
Thanks Ad. Great News…I am on the same page as you regarding starting a one on one facility in India. Randys’ CZT machines could be of great value for a one on one facility. Drew could attest to the efficiency of these machines and the results that they deliver. It would be great if you could throw some light on the CZTs Drew. Be sure to check out http://www.youtube.com/efficientexercise
Thanks for considering a DVD production Stephanie.
They will be setting up a new web site with information on the equipment some time soon. When the site is up I will post a link here.
Just ordered the T21C Exercise & Nutrition DVD set. Eagerly awaiting to watch your speech as well as Mark Sissions’.
Drew do you think it might be worth it coming all the way from Europe to attend this seminar??Is there a lot to see in Indianapolis? thanks
Peter,
Absolutely. Especially to hear Doug McGuff and Ryan Hall.
T21C 2011 London is also an option if the travel proves to expensive or otherwise prohibitive. Will have some great minds in exercise there.
Last chance to register for Indy HIT Seminar is Friday, May 27th! Don’t miss out on this exciting event. Register by visiting our site at http://www.indyhitseminar.com.
