Thanks! Can’t wait to listen to them fully. Only tasted that first one…ouch…bad echoing…makes it sound like your giving a speech at a stadium…lol The second interview is nice and clear though.

Looking forward to release of Advanced HIT ebook too. Can’t wait.

      Thanks Brian,

I’ve gotten way behind on writing but should have the book out soon. I hope to wrap it up during spring break.

For anyone giving up on the interview because Part 1 audio quality is so bad, but part 2 is actually much better.

      Hey Mike,

I used my laptop microphone for the first, and a Turtle Beach XO Seven headset and mic for the second. I’m currently looking at different options for audio recording for interviews for this web site and will conduct tests to make sure any audio interviews posted here are clear.

        Drew,

It wasn’t your tech that caused the bad audio quality. I was using some awful out of date software to record the Skype call. This caused the echo in our interview and many of the others I did around that time.

I’ve fixed this now. That said, it won’t do you any harm in investing in some good recording tech like an http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATR2100-USB-Cardioid-Dynamic-Microphone/dp/B004QJOZS4. I use this mic – great quality.

        Speak soon,
        Lawrence

          Hey Lawrence,

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve got a Shure BETA 58A I use for singing which should work well if I get an adapter to connect it to the laptop.

          Metal!

Great interview Drew, I truly believe you are the most underrated and ground breaking fitness coach out there from my 10 years of researching.

Recently I tried about once a week training while progressive overloading and results are really impressive (I had clear signs of over-training from my 3 day week split last year which i thought was low frequency at that time)

But I’m thinking of bumping it up to 2 days a week since I can start to feel a bit lethargic after 4-5 days off exercising)

What do you think of my new routine in terms of recovering for a natural genetic drug free person like myslef

    Week 1:
Monday: Pull in horizontal and vertical direction
Friday: Push in horizontal and vertical direction

    Week 2:
    Monday: Leg compound
Friday: (small parts isolation) biceps, triceps, shoulder lateral raises.

    Repeat

Would i be under training? because I’m training muscles directly only once every 2 weeks, or ironical even over-training? since its lifting heavy two days a week

my volume will be very low, 1 set with possibly a second drop set

    thanks man!
    Patrick

      Hey Patrick,

Whether this is undertraining, overtraining, or just right depends on your genetics and response to exercise, but this is on the low side. I recommend two full-body workouts per week as a starting point for most people. This would then need to be fine-tuned based on your goals and response to exercise by gradually making small adjustments to your workouts and re-adjusting based on your body’s response.
