February Will Be Slow

I spent most of yesterday writing, then deleting stuff and rewriting it. Today has been pretty much the same, as will every bit of free time I have over the next month minus family time. I am trying to finish the book by the end of February, so updates on the site will be slow. I’ve got about a dozen topics in the “to write” list for baye.com, but these are on hold til either after the book is done or if I need to switch gears for a little while. The review of the Paleo Cookbook will be up later this week, as soon as I get a chance to try a few more of the recipes. So far, everything we’ve tried has been good, and easy to prepare. I have also received requests to review other cookbooks, which will come after the book is out.

I am currently way behind answering training and nutrition related e-mail. If you have sent an e-mail with a training or nutrition related question and not received a response yet, please be patient.

Every time I have a discussion with someone, receive a paper or bit of information, or some useful material for the book, I make a note for the acknowledgements. Now I know what other authors mean when they say they could not have finished their book without the help of various people. While it would have been possible for me to write this myself, it would not have been anywhere near as good if not for the assistance of a lot of people. While I don’t have time to thank everybody here (I haven’t even finished the acknowledgements section of the book) I would like to take a moment to say a huge thank you to Ryan Hall. Ryan is THE guy to go to with physiology questions or when you think you’re onto something but want to make sure you’re not way off track. While a great many people have helped with the book, I’ve probably spent over a hundred hours over the past few years discussing some of the more technical aspects of training with him, and the book would not be nearly as good without his input. If you’re fortunate enough to live in the New Orleans, LA area, I highly recommend visiting his high intensity training studio One to One Personal Training

As I get closer to completing the book more information will be posted, including the table of contents and excerpts.

Several people have contacted me regarding phone consultations and phone training over the past week since announcing the discount with book purchase. I will not be taking any phone consultations until the book is finished, since I am already spending around 50 to 60 hours per week at the training studio and need to spend what little time I have left between personal training and clients with my family. Many of the general questions I receive during phone consultations are discussed in the book, and I only recommend phone consultations for questions of a more specific or individual nature.

Within the next few weeks we plan to start hosting free seminars on high intensity strength training and fat loss at Marc Mero’s Body Slam personal training in Altamonte Springs, FL. Dates and times will be announced here when set.
